I have worked for 20 years for different public sector entities, being able to identify their challenges and needs and the way they face them (I like to consider myself a “native” of it). This has allowed me to understand how they have exploited the potential of European funding to transform their organization, infrastructure and services from a physical, technological, social, environmental and economic perspective.

I am from Madrid, although my heart is between Toledo and Guayaquil. Having traveled to so many cities in Spain and Europe has taught me how each one faces its challenges and, above all, that there are no unique recipes for common problems. What makes a solution truly genuine is that it comes up in an innovative and creative way.

I have dedicated a good part of my professional career to explore how technology contributes to solving a challenge and it is increasingly clear to me that technology can help cities to be more livable, sustainable, participatory and inclusive.
