“Cities can be friendly and diverse and that true networks of collaboration and solidarity among neighbors can emerge in their neighborhoods”

Political scientist expert in citizen participation and gender urban planning. Master in Contemporary Studies of Latin America

Consultant in citizen participation strategies, right to the city and urban planning with a gender perspective. I started to be part of Khora in 2019

I was born in a neighborhood in the outskirts of Alcalá de Henares that taught me that cities can be friendly and diverse and that true networks of collaboration and solidarity among neighbors can emerge in their neighborhoods. I spent my entire university stage in Madrid and in 2015 I went to live in Montevideo, where I could see how the cultural scene of a city can occupy squares, parks and avenues, making public space a place to live and create, not only go through.

I believe that the best way to face the urban challenges of the present and the future is the collaboration between social actors in all phases of the decision-making process, but above all in the implementation of solutions.
