Boosting employment in Campo de Gibraltar through a creative flow of ideation

Integrated Territorial Investments (ITI) are tools of the Europe 2020 strategy aimed at addressing targeted needs in specific geographical areas. The ITI of Cádiz included a social, economic and environmental approach, with special attention to the promotion of employment in the Campo de Gibraltar.

THE CHALLENGE

The Association of Municipalities of Campo de Gibraltar, considering the region’s employment challenges and its potential to unite the municipalities within it, decides to promote employment in the area. To this end, it launched a plan to engage with the intermediate funding bodies, to identify the projects most aligned with the needs of Campo de Gibraltar.

THE SOLUTION

Khora supported the Municipalities Association in four key areas: identification of labor needs in the region; analysis of funding opportunities of multi-regional employment programs; development of pilot projects and design of an action plan to anticipate funding calls. This approach enabled the Municipalities Association to strategically leverage funding opportunities and address employment issues.
