Framework agreement for developing Vigo’s Urban Agenda and establishing hub for European and national calls and programs

Since 2021, Khora has collaborated with the Vigo City Council to draft its integrated Urban Agenda. To this end, we have prepared an Action Plan, designed and submitted reports to secure funding for many of its lines of action, carried out monitoring tasks of the agenda and identified European and national funding opportunities to achieve the results by 2030.

THE CHALLENGE

The City Council of Vigo identified two key needs requiring Khora’s support for four years: a financing hub to access new opportunities for national and European funds and an urban planning and monitoring instrument to progress towards sustainable development in line with the Spanish Urban Agenda.

THE SOLUTION

We developed the Vigo Action Plan of the Urban Agenda to 2030 following the methodology of the Government of Spain since the city was selected as a pilot project by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda. Additionally, we co-designed an urban data observatory model and supported the City Council in periodically monitoring its action plan. Over the years, we have successfully submitted various projects for funding within the framework of the different calls for cities: PIREP, Digitalization, Commerce, Urban Renaturalization, etc.
