A project to transform Monte San Miguel, part of the Integrated Sustainable Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI) aimed at regenerating of the urban area of Orihuela.

THE CHALLENGE

The urban area of Orihuela has experienced a loss of dynamism and identity due to the growth of tourism on the coast and the importance of the agri-food sector in rural areas. This situation has led to a need for comprehensive regeneration in the city centre, addressing both the revitalization of heritage and improvements to urban environments and public services.

THE SOLUTION

We support the Orihuela City Council in the design and launch of the projects included in the EDUSI, including the rehabilitation of heritage spaces, improvements to green environments, the digitalization of the administration, and the promotion of local commerce. In addition, we assisted the City Council’s Management Unit in its functions as a Light Intermediate Body, ensuring that all approval, execution and monitoring procedures were carried out properly, to ensure sustainable development for the city.
